Beatles VI was actually their seventh Capitol release (including the interview album The Beatles Story) and their eighth official American release (including Vee Jay's Introducing The Beatles). The remaining 6 songs from Beatles For Sale not included on Beatles '65 were issued on this US-only album, as well as actual new material that hadn't even been released in England at the time - Bad Boy and Yes It Is (the latter in "rechanneled stereo" - it was also the B-side of their upcoming UK single Help!), as well as three tracks later released on the Help! soundtrack: Tell Me What You See, Dizzy Miss Lizzy, and You Like Me Too Much. The cover photo was later used on an Australian compilation Greatest Hits Volume 1. The album was rereleased on CD in 2006 as part of the four disc set The Capitol Albums, Vol. 2 in both stereo and mono on one disc using the original Capitol masters, and again in 2014 in The U.S. Albums box set but featuring reworked EMI masters.
