Spicy Beatles Songs
Better known for its cover art – featuring a half-man, half-pig Ringo disguised as “Dr. Robert” and readying a lethal injection for a young victim – than the quality of its contents, Spicy Beatles Songs was issued by bootleg legends Trade Mark Of Quality and features artist William Stout, who created cover art for several other TMoQ releases.
Outfake by The Fut
The first track, “Have You Heard The Word” was passed off as a Beatles outtake on several bootlegs. It was actually an outtake by an inpromptu group later called The Fut which was recorded by group members Steve Kipner and Steve Groves of the band Tin Tin during a scotch-fueled session with their producer, Bee Gee Maurice Gibb, his wife, and her brother. Kipner, Groves, and Gibb – too drunk to record properly – launched into some Beatles impersonations over the already-recorded instrumental track.
