How Do You Do It? (Murray)
How Do You Do It? was under consideration by George Martin for the Beatles’ first single after signing to Parlophone. However, the Beatles felt the song didn’t fit their style and performed significant changes to it. In the end, Martin agreed to issue Love Me Do as their first single and gave How Do You Do It to Gerry and the Pacemakers, who had a number one hit with it in 1963. The Beatles’ recording was not issued until Anthology 1 in 1995.
