Sie Liebt Dich (Lennon/McCartney)

Sie Liebt Dich is a German-language version of She Loves You and, along with Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand is one of two non-English recorded songs released by the Beatles. The translation was performed by Luxembourger musician Camillo Felgen under the pseudonym of “Jean Nicolas.”

A completely new recording

Unlike Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand, which featured new German-language vocals overdubbed onto the original English-language instrumental track, Sie Liebt Dich was recorded completely from scratch as the instrumental track for She Loves You was destroyed by EMI after the song was mixed for mono.

Personnel

  • George Harrison – vocals, lead guitar
  • John Lennon – vocals, rhythm guitar
  • Paul McCartney – vocals, bass
  • Ringo Starr – drums
