The Beatles: Help! Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

Help! Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

August 13, 1965   Capitol Records

The American version of Help! was very unorthodox. The price was raised by a dollar, but featured only seven songs from the UK version, filling the vacancy with George Martin Orchestra instrumentals. The cover photo was rearranged so that (seemingly) Paul points to the Capitol logo. Also, the title track was preceeded by what is often referred to as "The James Bond Theme", but in fact is merely a spy theme spoof by composer Ken Thorne (this version was also included on the US version of The Beatles 1962-66). The album was rereleased on CD in 2006 as part of the four disc set The Capitol Albums, Vol. 2 in both stereo and mono on one disc.
